Why we built ToopTools
ToopTools started with a problem you've probably had yourself.
You need to do one small thing — count the words in a draft, shrink an image that's too big to upload, merge two PDFs, format a messy block of code. A tiny task. But the moment you search for it, you're dropped into a maze: one site wants you to create an account, another hides the real feature behind a “free trial,” a third asks you to upload your private files to a server you've never heard of, and almost all of them bury the actual tool under pop-ups, redirects, and clutter.
A two-minute job turns into a ten-minute hassle. And then next week, you do it all over again on a different site.
We got tired of that maze. So instead of bookmarking fifty different single-purpose websites, we set out to build the one toolbox we always wished existed — a single, trustworthy place where the everyday tasks just work.
